Lara’s background is in linguistics and language editing, which enabled her to develop her critical thinking and communication skills. She has experience in leading various business development projects and has recently assisted in compiling and editing the report for an IFRS 17 gap analysis of a South African life insurer, reviewed and edited a forthcoming white paper investigating how actuarial teams are utilising data science, and is assisting on an IFRS 17 implementation project. Lara also ensures that client communications are kept at a high standard and assists in the upholding of professional standards and clear, ethical reporting.
